Date: Saturday, December 13, 2008 Preliminary Screening: September7th - 10am Time: Contestants arrive - 5:00 Competition starts - 7pm Location: Party Deck Eligible Contestants: Dancers who have been taking with the studio for at least 4 months may compete. (Must be active with the studio*) All levels are encouraged. Dancers are judged against themselves not against each other. No less than 5 or more than 10 contestants are allowed
Competition information: (Complete information provided to contestants when they complete registration information.) Dancers will compete in the following categories: 1. Evening Gown competition - showcasing grace and poise in an formal gown (floor length) 2. Talent - Belly Dance Performance (Cabaret, Folkloric, Tribal or Fusion - dancers choice) 3. Interview by the Judges Dancers will be judged by a panel of 3 judges (Technical Judge, Artistic Judge, Authenticity Judge)
Awards: All contestants will receive sash and official crown pin. Queen: Crown, Sash, Flowers, Photo shoot, Photo package, 2009 Cruse Package (Compliments of The Enchanted Land of Migaraga) First Princess: Crown, Sash, Flowers, Photo shoot, Photo package, Silk veil Princess of the Court: Sash, Flowers, Photo package Registration Fee: A registration fee of $35.00 will be required from each dancer. This fee helps cover prizes and pageant expenses. Application to participate and Registration fee due before: November 1, 2008 Competition Audience: Family, friends and fellow dancers are invited to attend the competition. A minimal entrance fee of $5.00 will be charged to help cover expenses. Tickets will be sold in advance--none will be available at the door.
