What is "American Belly Dance"? 

     American Belly Dance is a combination of traditional Middle Eastern dance, combined with ballet, jazz and modern movements and theatrical staging to produce a dance that is very palatable to the American and Middle Eastern audience. 
      Performers dance to traditional and non-traditional music. Costumes reflect traditional Middle Eastern BellyDance attire but also have fusion elements to enhance and represent the dance style performed. 
     Everyone is able to enjoy this form of dance without having prior knowledge of Middle Eastern Dance Styles.

     Class instruction includes emphasis on individually assisting students to attain their goals in dance, whether it be purely exercise, stretching and limbering muscle groups or dance theology. 
     Kadayif's teaching technique is base on sound principles of muscle and joint range of motion known as "isolations". 
     With a background as a Registered Nurse, Kadayif gives her students safe, attainable goals for dance technique and exercise.  Classes are offered in several formats and levels.

About the Studio

We are pleased to announce the opening of our new 1200sq feet State of the Art Dance Studio at
The Village Center, 118 Flagship Drive, Lutz, FL  33549 
(Hwy 41 just south of the WinnDixie - in the same building as Mrs Teas Garden and Valligios Itallian Restaurant)

We have a professional suspended wood  floor  and  full length mirrors to make the dance learning experience pleasurable and comfortable for the student.

Class attire:  leotards, tights or any comfortable exercise clothing.  Loose clothing is discouraged as the instructor must see if you are moving correctly.  No shoes are required.  No socks please.

Class size is limited to insure each student receives personalized instruction.

Student Activities outside of Class

The Studio participates in a variety of performance and social events.  Students have the opportunity to participate if they desire.  Please check our calendar listing for upcoming events.

Each year the students perform in our Annual Gala, the Lutz-4th of July Parade, the Florida State Fair, and other Belly Dance sponsored events.

We also have an Awards Banquet where students are honored for their achievements throughout the year--better known as STARS.
