Hello Ladies,
Just a little update on the studio reopening. Unfortunately, we are not going to make the January reopping goal. Due to the holidays and the inability to get construction help due to that wonderful COVID flu, the studio is not quite ready for class.
I am working diligently to get things ready for our classes to resume, unfortunately I am an army of one and it is taking me a little longer to get our new studio build out.
Not a lot of people are ready to come back to live class according to the survey I sent out last month, so I guess that gives me a little more time to get the studio up and running.
A few people have asked about video classes—at this time I am not going to offer them, instead I will use the time to work on getting the physical studio open. Once we have the physical location open, I will be adding video classes for those who are not quite ready to resume social interaction and for those of my students who are out of the area.
Thank you so much for your continued support of the studio, the dance, and me. Christmas was very hard this year without Steve, but I am thankful for all of you who reached out to make sure I was doing ok during that long weekend. You ARE my family now and I am very grateful. I can not believe he has been gone almost a year...I am slowly working thru the grief process with the help of my friends...I am so eager to get back to teaching class so one of the voids in my life can be filled again.
Here is hoping 2021 will be filled with joy and happiness!

Stress relief tactics- Aroma Therapy
This month our stress relief remedy will focus on the effects of Aroma therapy in helping reduce stress.
My favorite oil for stress relief (as well as other things) is Lavender. The name is derived from the Latin root "lavare" which means "to wash". Lavender was used as far back as ancient Egypt where it played a part in the mummification process.
Later it became popular as an additive for your bath --especially in Greece, Rome and even Persia. They believed that lavender helped to purify the mind as well as the body.
It has been used for many medical conditions. Just a few are: anxiety, insomnia, depression headaches (although I like peppermint oil better for this ailment), conditions of the skin and yes even hair loss.
The oil is harvested from the lavender plant, but even the lavender "buds" are helpful in providing that signature smell of lavender. It is believed to reduce stress, anxiety, promote wellness and calmness and also has been used as a mild pain reliever.
A few drops can be added to your bath, on your pillow, to a diffuser or you can just open the bottle and take a sniff.
Lavender oils can be found in many shops so it is readily available. I use the dōTERRA brand--mostly because I am a distributor and I know the dōTERRA product is pure oil …You can check it out (along with many other oils) on my site--- my.doterra.com/kandy13, or pick it up at any local store or online.
Let me now how it works for you!
